It's Jaclyn here, excited to share one of my projects with you this week. There's no question that I love to scrapbook, but it seems that, at least here lately, I've been more drawn to home decor projects. Not sure why that is~ I'll probably change again soon. ;) This is my favorite project that I made from the "Time To..." kit....something simple for my kitchen.
I used an old board that is about 6 inches wide and 24 inches long, and painted it black. Then I chose papers that would work in the kitchen, and proceeded to cut the pieces to form a house, used a covered button for the doorknob, added a heart, and then chose one of the flowers from the kit to add to it.
I wanted my wall hanging to include some scripture, so I added one of my favorite Bible verses to it, choosing two of the words to use the Pink Paislee Mistable alphas with. For this project I opted to leave the alphas white, because they are striking on their own (I had lots of fun coloring them red for another project later, using Tim Holtz distress inks). :) I painted the rest of the words with a white paint pen.
See? Super easy project! Until next time....
